Totally agree with the review!! This movie is based on Bella's depression after Edward leaves. The humor thrown in does a fantastic job of bringing the audience different emotions. I loved
the close similarities between the book and film. Fantastic job! Twilight fans will love it!!!
I (as well as every single person I know/have talked to personally)am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO impressed w/this movie. I've seen it twice already (once at midnight, and again at 11:00 this
morning) and literally the ONLY thing I can complain about AT ALL is the Bella being a vampire vision... it just seemed really cheesey, and much more like a dream than an actual vision of the
future. but that is being incredibly nitpicky, and I positively LOVED everything else about the movie- literally not a single other thing that I thought could have been done better, imo (and
my friends/aquaintances agreed w/me). the movie stayed SO true to the book, and any/all changes that were made seemed completely appropriate and fit in perfectly to make a better movie while
still keeping the essence of the book exactly. seriously, i fully believe Chris Weitz deserves an award for the way he adapted the movie; it was truly amazing and just- i dont have words, he
was just SO good at knowing how to stay completely true to the book while still making an incredible movie w/a good flow and pace, etc. and as for the important lines he left out that many
ppl have mentioned--honestly, when you REALLY think about it, there just would not have been any way to keep them from being cheesey on screen, as much as they sound perfect in our heads when
reading the book (case in point: the lion and lamb line in Twilight). I think it was a real showcase of his ability and talent that he was able to distinguish the cheesey-sounding lines from
the non-cheesey ones, and kept in pretty much every single important, non-cheesey line that he could, in a very artful way. and of course all the acting, cgi, fight sequences- just
incredible. I was blown away by all those things, thought they were amazing and perfect and just could not be better. I couldn't believe how much Taylor made me sympathize w/Jacob,
considering I'm Team Edward all the way and never sympathized w/him much in the book. not saying he changed my allegiances, but he definitely made me question them a little, which is amazing
considering i've never b4 felt even the slightest waver in my Edward devotion. and kristen-simply amazing in every way as Bella. And Rob-perfection, of course. the break up scene had
practically the whole theater sobbing both times I saw it (including myself for sure). and the few bits they added of Edward- perfectly done, I LOVED them, they were just the right amount to
surprise me and be meaningful but not actually change the story at all, and the Edward "visions" were handled beautifully as well. and the ending... don't even get me started on that.
beautiful. perfect. shocking in all the right ways. I have to admit that ending caught me totally unawares (I knew there was gonna be a proposal, but i didn't know when/where, and i certainly
wasn't expecting it when it came), and i could not be happier w/it. and you could tell the whole theater felt that way, as there was a collective gasp followed by a roar of applause both
times i saw it. ummm ok i think my review was almost as long as yours, kara, and probably could have been summarized into simply: Chris did a beautiful job, i couldn't be happier, the movie
was as near to perfect as any adaptation could possibly ever hope to be, and Weitz NEEDS to come back for Breaking Dawn. I LOVE him so much-my only regret is that he didn't do Twilight or
Eclipse. David Slade sure has a lot to live up to (and honestly, I have a feeling he won't, but he could surprise me, I suppose). sorry about this novel-length comment, but I'm just so
excited I had to get it all out there b4 i went to sleep (i only got 2 hrs of sleep last night, so i'm gonna crash hard, but I just HAD to let SOMEBODY know how pleased i was b4 i could rest)
this movie was the most amazing movie in the history of amazing movies! i didn't like the part w/ Bella in the future,it made me laugh and laugh hard. i like how it was more like the book
than the first one was. i'm going to see it again tomorrow(: *TEAM JACOB*
